One At A Time

Katie Lenning barely remembers life with her mom. Katie can barely make it day by day, without completely falling apart. Her drunk, abusive father is no help to that at all. Her school, even worse. However, her mind is what is truly killing her. Her only friend moved in the sixth grade, and she has been lonely ever since. Every attempt she has made to interact with other human beings has failed. She feels as though she has failed herself entirely. It's something no one should ever feel. But she feels it constantly. It killed her first true love. Who would it have gotten next if Katrina hadn't saved her? Who knows? Maybe Katie really would've stabbed herself, or maybe, she wouldn't have. She'll never know. Will the next girl be saved? Nobody knows yet. Like in Katie's thoughts, everybody goes mad. It's just a matter of time before they do. Who will it get next?
